Festa Major de Gràcia 2025 Dresses Up in Fantasy: 23 Themed Streets and Over 900 Activities

Festa Major de Gràcia 2025 will once again bring its plazas and corners to life between August 15 and 21, with a program surpassing 900 activities—from concerts and workshops to parades and calm spaces for the whole family.
This year’s opening speech, delivered by art historian Maria Garganté, will take place on Wednesday, August 14 at 7 p.m. from the balcony of the district headquarters—kicking off the festivities with a critically engaged, feminist-leaning address.
To foster community harmony, the 2025 edition consolidates the traditional “quiet night”: on Monday, August 18 from 8 p.m. onward, no loud concerts will be held, and all activities will feature low sound levels, spread across the streets to protect residents’ rest (Barcelona City Council; El País).
The decorated streets and squares contest will bring together 23 neighborhood committees, with the winners announced on Tuesday, August 19 at 6 p.m. in Plaça de la Vila—a scheduling choice designed to avoid weekend crowds.
